Dr. Joanne Chestnut is the visionary behind the Whole Well You Women’s Conference and a living testament to what it means to go from Broke to Boss. Raised in the inner city streets of Boston, she refused to become a product of her environment. Instead, she found hope in God, walked by faith, and rose into her divine calling as a leader, healer, and changemaker.
An award-winning author, Dr. Chestnut penned the acclaimed book Birds with Broken Wings Still Fly, which received the prestigious International Impact Book Award. She is also a featured co-author in The Impact Leaders Book alongside Kevin Harrington of Shark Tank and has multiple published works, with another highly anticipated release on the way.
Dr. Chestnut is a doctorally-prepared nurse educator and has served with distinction in some of the nation’s most respected healthcare and academic institutions. Through her business, Crossing the Jordan Education & Consulting, she offers a signature nursing education course designed to empower the next generation of nurse leaders.
A powerful ordained minister, she leads Crossing the Jordan with Grace, a ministry devoted to spiritual restoration, healing, and prophetic insight. Whether she’s standing behind a podium or beside a patient, Dr. Chestnut brings wisdom, fire, and faith to every space she enters, helping women confront their trauma, reclaim their purpose, and walk boldly into their next season.
